  1. I am planning to get water heater (tankless) in my garage area. I am concerned about the noise it will make when it gets turned on, expecially to its full blast whenever any shower tap is turned on.

Any experience with noise and its operations.

  2. Raj, good question. This site has some info about noise in their FAQ, and it seems like a legit issue to raise with a manufacturer or reseller:

Q: … I have a question regarding the PH28RIFS (Waiwela gas power water heater): … I’d like to know, how “loud” is the heater when it kicks in (active heat production)? You can tell me in decibels. I want to plan WHERE it should be located in our small bungalow (Houston, TX) – i.e.. I don’t want to locate it near a bedroom if your product “screams”. Please respond as I am trying to decide on this TYPE of water heater vs. typical tank gas water heater. Thank you

A: I do not know the noise level in dB’s, but I know the heater and it is quiet. You can install the PH28 ROF outdoors. Keep in mind that you can NOT install the Wawiela heaters in sleeping rooms or bathrooms. Noise complaints have not been encountered. Neil
