A new ruling is out, perhaps finally turning the corner for hundreds or even thousands of victims in a decades-long fraud of Tesla.
“…justice was achieved,” [the victim’s mother] Neima Benavides said.
[The victim’s boyfriend] Angulo spoke to reporters after the verdict.
“We did it for Naibel; she would be proud that we stood up and did everything in our power to help shine a light on everything that is happening with these cars,” he said.
The federal trial centered around Tesla’s Autopilot feature. Attorneys representing both families argued the company falsely marketed the feature, making consumers believe it could perform beyond its limitations. […]
