The reporting of this crash is unclear, but it seems the Tesla stopped on the Interstate and was crushed by large trucks trying to avoid it.

On approaching the Tesla, the Peterbilt that was in front of the International truck, veered right into the outside lane of the highway. The International tractor trailer swerved left to avoid hitting the Tesla but struck it from behind, troopers said.

The International tractor trailer ran off the road and struck a guardrail but its impact on the Tesla sent the sedan off the road, and it ran into the back of the Peterbilt semi-truck, troopers said.

The Tesla driver died at the scene of the crash.

Obviously a big part of the investigation is being left out.

The FHP did not say why the Tesla was stopped in the middle of I-4.
