A 19-year old motorbike rider was killed by a Tesla, casting doubt again on Elon Musk’s comments for over a decade that his implementation of AI in cars will prevent crashes with bikes.

The Maricopa Police Department said officers and Maricopa Fire/Medical crews were dispatched about 7 p.m. Halloween night to the two-vehicle collision. Witnesses believed a black Tesla was involved. Investigators determined a motorcycle and a sedan collided, throwing the rider from the bike. He suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead en route to a Valley hospital.
