Tesla driverless is infamous for being so blind it tries to enter train tracks. For some reason the operator didn’t prevent it this time, and it crashed head-on into a tram.

A Tesla crashed into an approaching tram in Uithoorn early Saturday, causing the tram to derail and leaving multiple people injured. Authorities have not confirmed how many were hurt.

Police said the collision happened around 6 a.m. near the Randweg after the car entered the tracks for reasons that remain unknown. According to AD, the major disruption that shut down service between Westwijk and Uithoorn Centrum.

The impact was severe, derailing the tram and destroying the overhead power line. Emergency services responded in large numbers, including firefighters and a trauma helicopter. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
