The Q3 2025 numbers from Cox Automotive are very interesting, when you see how electric truck brands are selling.
- GM (Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra & Hummer) – 12,560
- Rivian (R1 S & T) – 10,562
- Ford (F-150 Lightning) – 10,005
- Tesla (Cybertruck) – 5,385
Honestly, I am surprised anyone looking for an electric truck buys a Tesla. Cox also points out the Cybertruck sales are half of what they were last year (down a whopping 62.6%). They say the overall big EV winners were:
VW and GM posted EV sales more than double year-ago levels.
Multiple brands saw electric vehicle sales grow massively year-over-year such as Audi, Cadillac, Chevy, Hyundai, Mercedes, Mini and Porsche. Tesla did not.
