This crash has the usual hallmarks of Autopilot.
A motorist driving a Tesla was killed early Friday morning after it went off course from northbound state Highway 17 in Los Gatos, crashed into a tree and caught fire, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to the CHP, the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. south of Lark Avenue, north of the Blossom Hill Road overcrossing, and involved one vehicle and one occupant.
“…investigators do not know whether the Tesla’s autonomous features (aka autopilot) were activated at the time or if alcohol or drugs were factors.”
But Tesla always blames the driver and will only provide the last 5 seconds of the CFR crash data, just like in the Piedmont Cybertruck crash.
