Four young kids at the International College of Santiago in Tavira, Portugal were killed when their Tesla suddenly veered off the road into a tree and then flipped upside down into a river.
Notably, investigators say it was on a turn and yet there were no skid marks, as would be expected from normal braking. The car was in very shallow water but all the doors were still locked.
According to this interview, when asked to describe his immediate reaction to learning of the Cybertruck crash, the victim’s father said he was confused due to Tesla app failure:
Usually I wake up at 4:30 and I go through the Tesla app to see if he’s heading home or at the gym. His car is at the gym, so I continue my workout and my daughter said, ‘What are you doing?’ I said, ‘I’m working out.’ She said, ‘You haven’t heard? Your son just got in an accident.’ ‘At the gym?’ ‘No he’s at the hospital.’
I just stopped everything and ran over there and was like, ‘What the hell’s going on? Was it his car? What’s going on?’ I realized the app actually malfunctioned. I found that out a couple days later when he started waking up.
His son was released from the hospital last week, after being placed in a coma due to smoke inhaled while trapped inside the Cybertruck for at least 10 minutes.
This one guy just keeps getting sent out into the public to cause predictable harms. He seems to be slipping through a justice system, enabling his crimes, despite a long history of him repeating the same exact patterns of drug-addled violence targeting women across America.
In 2023, a Southern California man pleaded guilty to multiple charges stemming from road rage incidents in the Los Angeles area. He was sentenced to five years in prison — but was released 212 days early for good behavior last fall.
On Thursday, he was arrested on suspicion of committing similar crimes.
According to the Honolulu Police Department, a 38-year-old man was arrested in Hawaii on suspicion of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle in the first degree and assault.
Known for his use of a Tesla in over a dozen crimes against women, he was back at it almost immediately. Different state, same assault.
Whoever describes him as well behaved and releases him from prison simply must know he is going to start down the same rage-filled white man privilege path again (erratic and dangerous Tesla behavior) to violently attack another woman.
Talk about the dumbest form of diplomacy in world history… American embassies are reaching out to local governments and asking them to kiss Trump’s ass.
This, of course, immediately makes the American government most unwelcome in any host country. Sweden puts it plainly, as the Nordics are known to do.
Stockholm will never agree to it.
“It’s contrary to everything we stand for,” said Valeskog, the Sweden Herald reported. “They should withdraw these [anti-democratic] peculiarities,”
He warned that the American embassy has now risked future trouble with Stockholm.
“If the U.S.A. terminates its acquaintance with the City Planning Office, the embassy will have a hard time getting building permits if they, for example, want to rebuild. It’s their headache, not ours,” said Valeskog.
That’s the tip of the iceberg, in other words. Lack of new permits could shift to removal of permits and then lead to demands to vacate the space.
The American diplomatic gaffes span the continent: France’s Foreign Trade Ministry blasted “unacceptable” interference and vowed to defend their values; Belgium’s Deputy PM Maxime Prévot called it “regrettable” that America is “taking a step backwards”; Spain declared “no step backwards in defending the rights of women and the LGTBI community”; Danish officials are pushing for a united EU response; the Netherlands’ Foreign Trade Minister expressed “worry”; Italy, Luxembourg, and Bulgaria have all received the same demands; Barcelona’s mayor publicly rejected compliance with U.S. directives; and Germans just scoffed when the U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria tried to flex. The fallout has been a full-spectrum rejection of American diplomatic and intelligence presence that will degrade capabilities from the Baltic to the Mediterranean.
As explained earlier, Trump is in the habit of destroying things just so he can feel powerful, with no positive outcome in mind. It’s like a toddler crashing through blocks others have spent decades carefully building. Why? He go boom! So here too, in the most basic diplomacy gaffe, he is destroying all the goodwill America had around the world, replacing it with disgust. This will slide American intelligence towards being deaf and blind, as all the ears and eyes are self-defeated by a fog of hubris.
It will lead to the same end as Trump steaks, Trump vodka, Trump airline, Trump casino, Trump university… all examples of what to expect next in the dustbin of history: Trump embassies.
