Mercedes Roasts Tesla in New Crash Test

There’s a lot to unpack from what Mercedes is saying about its new crash test, because of what isn’t being said.

I’ll do my best to translate the important points found in The Driven.

Euro NCAP requires a frontal impact test that uses a 1,400kg trolley travelling at 50km/h with an aluminium honeycomb barrier that replicates the front of another vehicle.

Too light and too slow for EV conditions, especially given the massively heavy Tesla tend to crash head on into other cars going more like 100km/h.

Mercedes-Benz, however, recently decided to go one further – conducting a crash test between two of its own electric vehicles – the EQA and EQS SUV.

Like Volvo, Mercedes is aiming for real world data to improve chances of survival. It’s not just a checkmark game for them. They put two of their vehicles head-on at 56km/h.

“As a result, the passenger safety cell of both electric models remained intact, and the doors could still be opened. In an emergency, this would make it possible for occupants to exit the vehicle on their own or for first responders and rescue personnel to reach them.”

Tesla are well known to trap occupants after a crash, doors inoperable especially from the inside. First responders also often fail to get Tesla doors open. Multiple lawsuits and complaints from the grieving families of Tesla victims are related to obviously defective door safety.

The high-voltage system in both the EQA and the EQS SUV also switched off automatically during the collision, ensuring the safety of the battery and all components with a voltage above 60 volts.

Tesla is known to burst into electric fires, filling the car with toxic smoke and burning occupants alive as they struggle to open a door.

A total of four adult crash test dummies were involved – three females and one male. Analysis of the up to 150 measuring points per dummy showed a low risk of serious to fatal injury during the crash.

Women have different physical attributes but rarely if ever are represented in safety tests. This results in women being nearly 75 percent more likely to be injured in frontal road collisions.

…all safety equipment, including airbags and belt tensioners with belt force limiters, worked as intended.

Tesla deaths lately have had an uptick of people thrown from the car. Should we add belt failure to the list of things the low quality brand has engineered incorrectly?

All very important results that show a car company thinking hard about real engineering and real values. It’s clearly roasting meaningless high “safety” scores; overly contrived tests have been gamed by immoral Tesla engineers in order to defraud and even kill their customers. Mercedes can’t say that out loud, however.

CA Tesla Kills Two in “Veered” Crash Into Tree

Condolences are pouring out in Fresno by a community that says it’s “shocked” to hear a Tesla suddenly “veered” into a tree and killed its passengers, like so many others.

Dr. Alfred Valles, 50, and Selina Valles, 46, were killed at 9:30 p.m. Friday when they were traveling north on Friant Road and crashed into a tree in the middle divider of Friant near Rice Road, north of Champlain Drive. Police confirmed Monday the vehicle involved was a Tesla…

Perhaps that tree saved lives by preventing another head-on collision.

Desperate Tesla Begs US Gov for Handouts to Pay For its Move to Texas

Tesla is perhaps not known well enough for shutting down high speed rail in CA with a “hyper loop” pipe dream that never delivered anything.

They threw fiction into PR cycles using scam and propaganda methods because they couldn’t handle any competition with their poorly made cars (which are increasingly killing hundreds in “veered” head on collisions due to quality failures).

At the end of the day, Tesla became little more than corporate welfare with a fraudulent CEO taking handouts while far more sensible public transportation was delayed or cancelled.

Now, he is at it again, setting up another transfer of public funds to his pockets with a total fiction about semis.

The automaker has requested $100 million from the United States government to build nine charging stations for the Semis, according to CleanTechnica and Bloomberg. The stations will be strategically positioned between Northern California and the southern border of Texas.

Build a high speed train instead. Problem solved.

This is little more than Tesla trying to trick the US government to fund a private shipping corridor between two private factories so Tesla can move its assets to Texas.

It’s a dumb political stunt and total waste of money, which is why Tesla wants to troll someone into paying for it.

Why Texas? More like Apartheid, it has less protection of working people from exploitation by racist billionaires.

CA Tesla in “Veered” Head-on Collision

Many more Tesla head-on collisions are being found in news archives, than previously noticed by researchers looking at the huge increase in deaths.

According to Deputy D. Zane of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station, the Tesla driver was traveling northbound on Mariposa Road and the pick-up truck was traveling southbound when the crash occurred. A witness told officials that the driver of Tesla crossed over into southbound lanes…

It’s crashes such as these that need to be carefully collected when looking at the latest evidence of driverless failure.

…collision was reported about 4:19am in the traffic backup from the first crash just after Joshua Street onramp. The vehicles involved in this crash was a black Tesla SUV with major front-end damage and a semi pulling a set of pneumatic dry bulk cement tankers. Speed was a factor in this crash.

Instead of saying just speed, perhaps reporters should say software was a factor.

In related news, the Tesla PR department has started watering down and rebranding “full self driving” as “your fault driving” for only very specific “fairly near future” conditions.

Driving “around” a city instead of through… nothing to see here but lies. eXcrement Source: eXtwitter

Skepticism? We actually wonder why Bernie Madoff lacked skepticism. A lack of skepticism can be a warning sign, a serious danger to society.

I suspect anyone in the future looking back on Elon Musk will see an even worse degree of false confidence than most scammers. At least Madoff wasn’t raised by pro-Apartheid fascists (self-described anti-Semitic technocrats) and didn’t grow up to be just the same thing.

Nothing says this aloof spoiled Branch Davidian-acting billionaire cares about poverty and hunger, let alone stopping wars, than spending all his time instead at festivals driving in circles and then lying about it to sound like he knows something about “future” thinking.

People who were unfortunately fooled into buying a Tesla only realize the lies too late: “what do you mean our new car doesn’t work anymore after being in the rain, and you expect us to pay $20K because it got wet?”

Tesla is trying to claim the company didn’t plan for rain.

The fools literally didn’t predict rain for a car supposedly able to predict everything.

Skepticism is more than justified, and the more the better. How is Elon Musk not just another David Koresh?

This man who forcibly took over Tesla from engineers with his ill-gotten lottery money, just to undermine engineering ethics, and who turned it into a giant fraud, is still empty boasting: “the future, the future, believe me, I am partying hard in Texas festivals and ignoring reality, so believe me”.
